Year 5 were investigating the effect of melting polar ice caps. The aim was to find out if these melting ice caps caused seal levels to rise.
We set up 2 identical experiments but modelled one on the North Pole and one on the South Pole. In one pole we placed the ice ‘in the sea’ and at the other pole we placed the ice ‘on the land mass’. Then we waited as the ice melted and recorded the differences in sea levels.
